Born in Rhodes, Greece. She lives and works in Maroussi, Athens. She is married and mother of a son. She is a licensed psychology and systemic therapist working with individuals, families, children and groups since 1993. Founder (2002) of a counseling, psychotherapy and diagnostic service (www.ektonendon.gr), which also provides guidance seminars in schools and various organizations. She is one of the three founders and scientific directors of the newly established ‘Training and Research Institute for Systemic Psychotherapy’, Athens, Greece.

Education and Training
She attended the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogic and Psychology and graduated in 1990. She was also enrolled in the Department of Psychology at the University of Athens and graduated in 1997. After attending the Post-Graduate Program in School Psychology, she received her Master’s degree specialized in School Psychology (1995). Having been granted a scholarship by the National Scholarship Foundation, she obtained her Ph.D. Her thesis in Clinical Psychology was titled Interpersonal relationships in the family and psychosomatic health: A systemic approach (1999). She has specialized in the systemic approach in individual, group and family therapy and in psychological diagnosis at the Laboratory for the Study of Human Relations. She holds the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP) from the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP).

Work experience and teaching
Since 1990 she has been involved in academic teaching at the Department of Psychology at the University of Athens, working also as a coordinator in student group-intervention programs which take place in the Counseling Center of the University of Athens. Moreover, she has been involved as a scientific associate in many research programs of the Psychology Department at the University of Athens, such as standardization at the HELLENIC WISC-III, standardization of the HELLENIC WAIS-III, preventive programs at secondary schools, formation of psychosocial intervention programs in repatriated and foreign students, parents, teachers etc. In cooperation with the municipal authorities and association she organizes and coordinates seminars for parents, teenagers and teachers. Meanwhile, since 1995 she has been working as a Trainer and Supervisor in Systemic and Family Therapy at the Laboratory for the Study of Human Relations, as Head of the Diagnostic Section of the above Institute, as well as member of the staff of the Children Therapy Department.

Publications
She is co-editor of two books (“Healthy body in a healthy mind” and “Systemic approach: Theory and applications”).She has published articles in scientific journals in English (Journal of Family Therapy, International Journal of Psychology) and Greek (Psychology: The Journal of the Hellenic Psychological Society, Metalogos: Systemic Approaches and Psychotherapy, Report on Counselling and Guidance). She has presented her work at Greek and international conferences, and papers of hers have been published as book chapters both in English and in Greek. In addition she has participated in the translation of scientific books into Greek.

Research interests
Her research interests focus on group psychotherapy dynamics, on psychological assessment, on the evaluation of the systemic therapeutic procedure and on the study of the evolving relationship patterns of the Greek family and their importance, concerning the individual’s psychosomatic health.

Memberships
She is a founding member of the Hellenic Association of Systemic Psychotherapy (HELASYTH), board member of this association since 2007 and treasurer since 2010. She also member of the European Family Therapy Association (EFTA), the Hellenic Psychological Society (ELPSE) (clinical and health section), and the Association of Greek Psychologists (SEPS).
