Ερευνητικά projects (Τελευταία ανανέωση Φθινόπωρο 2019)

The Institute, founded in 2011, places research at the core of its activities. The training of mental health professionals includes courses of qualitative inquiry in action, contributing to the Institute’s ongoing research projects and to the bridging between clinical practice and research. These projects compliment the ongoing research work of the Institute’s staff in the last fifteen years, and their recent effort to develop an enriched systemic therapy approach SANE-System Attachment Narrative Encephalon ® applied to training and clinical practice.

Research work includes:

Α. Development of the enriched systemic therapy perspective SANE-System Attachment Narrative Encephalon® in training and supervision.

  1. Theoretical development of SANE. Guidelines for training and case conceptualization.
  2. Teaching and supervision methods and tools (eg. ID-TOC)

Β. Development of narrative methods and tools for assessment and clinical interventions

  1. Reformulation of “classic” therapy or assessment tools as narrative tools.
  2. Formulation of new tools such as the ID-CAM for therapy and for training, using narrative/dialogic and attachment notions.
  3. Development of Qualitative Criteria for Coherence in Narratives (QCCN) tool, an assessment and intervention tool that emerged as a result of narrative inquiry.

Ψ. Exploring the process of therapy

  1. Qualitative inquiry into the process of enriched systemic therapy with individuals, couples and groups.
  2. Qualitative inquiry into the experiences of therapists, trainees, and clients within the therapy process

Δ. Narrative study of lives

  1. Psycho-biographical narrative inquiry into the lives of famous people
  2. The narrative construction of self of everyday people
